Mikrokosmos

The ancient Greek philosophy of microcosm was initiated by Pythagoras, who saw human beings as their own little world - a miniature version (microcosm) of the larger universe (macrocosm). This song finds BTS playing off the word "microcosms" as they explore the idea of each human living in harmony with each other in his or hers own little universe. The song was produced by the British dance production duo Arcades, who have also worked with Ellie Goulding and Conor Maynard,

Marcus McCoan, a songwriter from Cornwall in South West England, originally wrote the song with Arcades and Ryan Lawrie. They titled their demo "Nervous," and once BTS accepted it, Arcades and McCoan helped finish the production.
