This song was written by Shania Twain and her producer husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. It was the second song released to North American pop radio and the third to international markets from her 1997 album Come On Over. The original version of the song featured fellow country singer Bryan White, while the re-recorded version for pop radio featured Twain solo plus instrumentation from the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra.
The song was written at a soccer game in Italy, as a love song between Twain and Lange. Twain explained: "We were in Italy two years ago, and we were at a soccer game. My husband loves sports. I don't know the game that well, so my mind drifted and I started writing." Twain and Lange were married from 1994-2008. (Source of quote Tommy's #1 Shania Twain Supersite)
