Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Opulence. By Songfacts®.

The title track of rapper singer Brooke Candy's Opulence EP, the song was inspired by the 1990 documentary Paris Is Burning, which takes a close look at New York City's ball culture and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.

The video was directed by fashion photographer Steven Klein and designed by Lady Gaga's former stylist Nicola Formichetti. Asked by Radio.com about the huge amount of clothes in the clip Formichetti explained, "11 changes made it [in] but throughout the shoot we did many more, all of which were crazy. Working with strong women as a creative is infectious and inspiring, as many will let you mold them into amazing characters."
