Roxanne Tataei is a half Iranian, half Jamaican singer-songwriter from southeast London who makes nourishing soul music with a twist. By the age of ten, Rox was traveling across Britain, performing with the National Youth Music Theatre. After forming her first band in 2007, she attracted interest from a variety of labels, before signing with Rough Trade.

This is her debut single, which Rox told BBC Radio 2's Steve Lamacq that she wrote around early 2008. She added its about "leaving a relationship and not wanting to go back to that situation."
