Whethan

Whethan (real name Ethan Snoreck) is a DJ and music producer from Chicago who makes electronic music with elements of future bass, hyperpop, and rap.

Whethan's stage name is from a school nickname his friends made up. It came from one of his early productions, a remix of a Wheat Thins jingle, which he created to prove to his friends that he could make music.

Whethan attended Carl Sandburg High School in Chicago. He left early during the first semester of his senior year to tour with The Chainsmokers in 2017 but returned to attend his graduation ceremony. Whethan surprised his schoolmates by playing them a preview of some of his new music.
