Stray Kids is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name. Rather than individuals surviving to become a team, the team was pre-selected and the trainees performed self-composed songs, working towards the goal of debuting together.
The Stray Kids reality show ran from October 17 to December 19, 2017. Their debut song, "Hellevator," was released as a digital single on November 1, 2017.
The group started as a nine-piece before member Woojin left because of undisclosed personal reasons in October 2019.
