The Dudes' first full-length album was produced by Calgary engineer Russ Broom. Broom is known for his work as Canadian singer/songwriter Jann Arden's guitar player.
Broken Social Scene singer Lisa Lobsinger appears on The Dudes' track "Had Enough of It." Lobsinger is originally from the band's hometown Calgary and she's been friends with the guys in the band since they started in 1996. Although the song finally came out in 2009, The Dudes said it took "maybe four or five years" for it to get it released.
The Dudes say the biggest challenge about being in a band is driving across Canada for tours because the country is "f--king huge." Drummer Scott Ross drives most of the time and guitarist Bob Quaschnick says playing games in the car "gets old pretty quick."
