Asake's music is a blend of Afropop, fuji and amapiano, with his own unique vocals. His lyrics often touch on themes of love, money, and enjoying life.
Asake's rise to fame was rapid. He signed with YBNL Nation, a label founded by Nigerian rapper Olamide, in 2022. His debut album, Mr. Money With the Vibe, released in September 2022, broke the record for the biggest opening day for an African album on Apple Music.
