The Bluesbreakers were formed in January 1963 and became an ever-evolving lineup of more than 100 different combinations of musicians performing under that name.
Several famous musicians have come out of the Bluesbreakers, namely Eric Clapton (who would later form the Cream with Jack Bruce), John McVie (who would later form Fleetwood Mac with drummer Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green), Mick Taylor (later joining The Rolling Stones), Harvey Mandel (who would later play with Canned Heat) and Aynsley Dunbar (of Free fame).
Their single, "I'm Your Witchdoctor" was produced by Jimmy Page, lead guitarist of Led Zeppelin
