Lord Huron

Lord Huron is the brainchild of Michigan-raised Ben Schneider. Formed in 2010 in Los Angeles, Schneider took inspiration from how the Great Lakes were shaped by melting ice toward the end of the last ice age. Their music often reflects a sense of awe and wonder for the natural world.

The band's name was inspired by Lake Huron, the lake Schneider often visited in his early years.

Schneider formed Lord Huron as a solo project. After writing and recording two independent EPs (Into the Sun and Mighty) on his own, demand grew for Lord Huron to perform live. Schneider roped in childhood buddies Mark Barry, Miguel Briseño and Tom Renaud, who he used to play music with during his teenage years in Michigan.
