Singer-songwriter Remi Wolf was born in Palo Alto, California to a Sicilian mother and a Russian-Persian father. Her music isn't confined to one genre - it blends elements of soul, pop, funk, and even bedroom pop.
Wolf wasn't always belting out tunes. She was a competitive skier in her youth, twice representing the US at the Junior Olympics.
Wolf split her time between training and playing in various school bands, including an a cappella girl group called Citrus. "A real middle-school name," she told Triple J. "We sang in harmony and performed at preschools and stuff."
