Fun (technically Fun., but that wreaks havoc with sentences) touring drummer Will Noon used to play in a band called Straylight Run, which also featured members of New Jersey emo band Taking Back Sunday. Straylight Run ended when those members decided to re-join their former band in 2010.
On December 6, 2011, the cast of the hit TV show Glee covered "We Are Young" by Fun in an episode called "Hold on to Sixteen." The group sang the song in the auditorium of McKinley High after the end of Sectionals. The Glee version of the song went to #1 on iTunes later that night.
In 2012, the Fun song "We Are Young" was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for the Chevy Sonic called "Stunt Anthem." The ad also featured skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and rock band OK Go.
