D12

Also known as D-12 or The Dirty Dozen, D12 consists of several rap artists from the Detroit area. The group was formed in 1996, but only gained fame after one of its members, Eminem, found success of his own.

Originally consisting of the finest rap artists in the area, D12 was going to have 12 members, but settled on 6, with most members also starting solo projects. They explained that each member had a dual personality, which accounts for the dozen.

An original member named Bugz was killed during an argument when he was shot numerous times and died shortly afterwards.
