Viking Metal

Viking metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music that combines elements of traditional heavy metal with folk metal, black metal, and/or power metal. It is characterized by its use of Viking-inspired themes, such as Norse mythology, Viking culture, and Viking history. It often features epic, heroic, and melodic music, as well as harsh vocals and distorted guitars. It is also known for its use of traditional instruments, such as the fiddle, flute, and bagpipes. Viking metal bands often incorporate Viking-inspired lyrics and imagery into their music and artwork.
