Rock Mineiro

Rock Mineiro is a Brazilian rock music genre that originated in the state of Minas Gerais in the late 1970s. It is characterized by its heavy use of electric guitar, bass, and drums, as well as its lyrical themes which often focus on social and political issues. The genre is heavily influenced by the traditional music of Minas Gerais, such as samba, choro, and forró, as well as by the rock music of the United States and the United Kingdom. Rock Mineiro is often seen as a precursor to the Brazilian punk and alternative rock scenes of the 1980s and 1990s.
