Beyoncé's second single from her fourth solo album, 4 is this Babyface penned midtempo tune about karma and revenge. It kicks off with Beyoncé singing, "What goes around comes back around," before she proceeds to take a pop at a former lover after discovering his deceitful ways.
Kenny "Babyface" Edmond is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter, who is best known for his contribution to the creation of new jack swing in the late 1980s. Among the many artists he has credits for are Bobby Brown ("On Our Own", "Every Little Step") and Boyz II Men ("End of the Road," "I'll Make Love To You"). He also penned Beyoncé's 2009 single "Broken-Hearted Girl."
The other principal songwriter was Patrick "J. Que" Smith, who is part of the production group "The Clutch." He has also contributed to hit tunes by Usher ("Yeah!"), Ciara ("Like a Boy") and Britney Spears ("Radar").
