Silverstein frontman Shane Told explained the story of this song to Alternative Press magazine: "This is one of my favorites, and was the last one of all the songs we finished for the album. We literally had the whole record done, and I just decided one day we should try to write a super heavy song—no rules, just completely by feel. There was no worrying about song structure or anything like that. I came up with the intro dissonant-sounding riff, and we decided just to go right into a breakdown. The song came really organically, and it just flows."
The song features a contribution from Brendan Murphy of the Ontario hardcore/metal band Counterparts. Told (from Alternative Press): "We got our friend Brendan from the awesome band Counterparts to sing with me and his voice fits perfectly. I actually think his voice inspired some of my performance a bit on this track."
The song's music video shows Silverstein playing a free show on February 4, 2011 in Toronto, which was filmed by Robby Starbuck.
