Win Some, Lose Some

This was a song that guitarist Max Helyer brought to the band. Vocalist Josh Franceschi recalled to Kerrang! magazine: "The rest of us didn't really get at first, but when we caught up with where he was coming from, we all fell in love with it. It's about accepting things won't always go your way, and it's got a really grungy vibe." Franchesci added: "I recorded the vocals through a special microphone that helped capture the angst in it, and we recorded some of the drum parts on an iPhone in a basement to get a certain distorted sound."
