Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about The Wonderwhy (Hidden Track). By Songfacts®.

Frontwoman Ellie Rowsell penned this song about being a teenager. She explained to Coup de Main magazine: "'The Wonderwhy' is something I wrote when I was younger and a bit more teenager-y - when I was really struggling with life. Not in a serious way, but in a way where I was just thinking about things too much."

The track came together when the band went to drummer Joel Amey's house and made a demo of it. The final recorded version is the closing track of Love Is Cool. Roswell told Tonedeaf.com: "It's more of a weird side of us. that kind of introspective what the hell is going on I'm scared of everything thing we tried to do but didn't often do. it just felt right to put it on the end of the album, a big kind of question mark at the end of the album."
