This hard-hitting ballad is a track from the second volume of Coheed and Cambria's double concept album, The Afterman: Descension. The disc details the return of Amory to his home planet and what he encounters after he arrives.
Frontman Claudio Sanchez explained the track covers the subject of "the duality of human nature." He added, "It's natural to try to hide the more sinister facets of ourselves from the people we care about, but to ever truly share a life with another person, that dark side needs to make its way out into the open."
Robert Schober directed the song's music video. He has also helmed clips for the likes of Green Day, The Killers and Mastodon.
