Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Hollywood's Bleeding. By Songfacts®.

Post Malone once lived in Encino Valley, which is about 15 miles northwest of Hollywood. Records show that he rented a house there from December 2017 to July 2018, paying $12,000 per month. The rapper then moved to a multimillion-dollar 13,000-square-foot home in northern Utah. This folky cut finds Malone ruminating on the toxicity of Tinsel Town. Hollywood's bleeding, vampires feedin' Darkness turns to dust Everyone's gone, but no one's leavin' Malone presents Hollywood as a ghost town where it feels like the life is being sucked out of you.

During the chorus, Malone speaks of the powerful allure of Hollywood. Was scared of losin' somethin' that we never found We're running out of reasons, but we can't let go Yeah, Hollywood is bleeding, but we call it home So many people are desperate to get to Hollywood. Once they arrive there, despite its toxicity, they just "can't let go."

Post Malone wrote the song with Canadian singer-songwriter Billy Walsh and Chicago multi-instrumentalist Carter Lang. Walsh and Lang also both contributed towards the writing of "Sunflower." The track was produced by his frequent collaborators Brian Lee and Louis Bell.
