Dido wrote this song with San Francisco songwriter Rick Nowels, with whom she previously collaborated with on the transatlantic hit, "White Flag."

This finds the singer reminiscing about a romantic encounter she had on holiday, having returned to the drudgery of everyday life. Dido commented to Canada.com: "A classic holiday romance song - that feeling where you go away, have this amazing time, feel like you've gone away forever and then you get back and nothing's changed and you're trying to recreate that feeling when you're back at home."
