Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about She's Got It All. By Songfacts®.

Kenny Chesney landed his first #1 on the Country chart with this single from his fourth studio album, I Will Stand.

When Craig Wiseman wrote this upbeat country love song, he was trying to pull a bait-and-switch on listeners. In his mind, Chesney would appear to be a love 'em and leave 'em type in the verses, singing his praises about "how this girl has a big rack and is great in bed." But the chorus reveals the opposite - the "all" she possesses has nothing to do with her physical assets and everything to do with Chesney's love and devotion. The concept was lost on listeners, which Wiseman admits was for the best. "People didn't sense the satire in those verses, because those verses were supposed to be really kind of bullshit, kind of sarcastic, and that part failed," the veteran country scribe told Jake Brown, author of the 2014 book Nashville Songwriter. "And I realized, you know, this is a straight-up love song, where it sounds like the verses are just talking about somebody in love. I was trying to do something witty, and thank God I wasn't witty enough to pull it off, because I think it would have ruined the song."

This was co-written by Drew Womack of the Texas-based country band Sons Of The Desert.
