Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Early in the Morning. By Songfacts®.

This was the song that put Vanity Fare on the map in the United States, and it celebrates how beautiful the early morning is. It was their biggest hit up to that time, and only "Hitchin' A Ride" did better on the charts. It's fondly remembered by their fans, particularly in their native Great Britain.

This was one of the earliest songs written by Mike Leander and Eddie Seago, who are best known for their work with Gary Glitter. Leander also arranged strings for The Rolling Stones.

This was from the album The Sun, The Wind and Other Things, whose title was a poke at American family group The Cowsills' hit single, "The Rain, The Park And Other things."
