Osiris Williams is a Jacksonville, Florida-based rapper and R&B vocalist, whose parents named him after the Egyptian god. He was nicknamed YK, for "Young King," by his teacher and adopted the performing name of YK Osiris. Williams first broke out in 2018 when his songs "I'm Next (Freestyle)" and "Valentine" went viral on YouTube and earned him a contract with Def Jam.
This song was Osiris' first Hot 100 entry. It first him singing about a girl to whom he would give the world. I would give you the world, baby girl You just gotta be worth it You don't gotta be perfect You just gotta be worth it Osiris told Genius he's not singing about any specific girl, but it was just something that he free-styled "from the heart." He added it was just something that girls can "relate to, 'cause every girl, they worth it, you know? They ain't perfect but they worth it. A lot girls got to understand that."
