The middle eight of this song consists of a Shangri-Las-esque spoken word part that according to rumor is about wildchild Peaches Geldof, who frontman Faris Badwan dated for a time.
Badwan told The Sun May 29, 2009 about this track: "That was one of the first songs we wrote during the sessions back in February 2008. Phil Spector girl-group melodrama, Joe Meek Telstar sound, the Mary Chain feedback wall. The drop-down lyrics are taken from the Jay & The Americans song, 'She Cried', which was subsequently covered by the Shangri-Las."
