Group leader Zakk Wylde, who wrote this song, has said that it is about Scott Weiland, who at the time was lead singer of Velvet Revolver. Wylde is a big fan of Weiland from his days in Stone Temple Pilots, but was dismayed to see him fall into the clutches of heroin addiction.
