Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Goddamn Electric. By Songfacts®.

This song is about embracing music and life, as Phil Anselmo sings about how he hopes Pantera has influenced their fans in the same way bands like Slayer and Black Sabbath influenced him.

According to Pantera bass player Rex Brown, the band had a specific sound in mind when they came up with this song. "We needed, like, a shuffle," he told us. "After we did the 'Walk' thing, that was kind of, 'Well, we need one of those. We need something that's heavier than hell, but it's got to have that good thump to it that you can sing along to.'"
