Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Living Proof. By Songfacts®.

"Living Proof" is an extremely rare Wishbone Ash recording as it features a female lead vocal: Claire Hamill, who wrote it with Ash lead guitarist Laurie Wisefield. Hamill was briefly a member of the band. The song was released on January 4, 1980, backed by a live version of "Jailbait" from Live In Tokyo. When performed live, group member Andy Powell did the vocal.

As with all Wishbone Ash singles before and since it got absolutely nowhere chart-wise, but it was and remains one of the band's most performed and recorded songs. Probably the definitive recording is the live version from the double album Live Dates 2.
