Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about The Flyer. By Songfacts®.

Written by Saga lead singer Michael Sadler and bass player Jim Crichton, this song is a reaction to their hectic lifestyle - Saga had been touring constantly and were always on the go.

Thanks to its singalong quality, this quickly became a live favorite for Saga, so much so that they got sick of playing it. "It was like every time we put a set together, someone would say, 'Let's do 'Flyer,''" Michael Sadler told us. "It's a perennial favorite that we stopped playing, actually, live. It's kind of a go-to second encore if we get one."
