"I Don't Want Your Love" is the 18th single released by Duran Duran, and their 14th Billboard Top 40 hit. As with all Duran Duran works, the song is a collaboration between the group members, or, as Simon Le Bon puts it: "the five heads and five hearts that beat in Duran Duran." As the first single on the Big Thing album, this song reflects the point the group was at in the late 1980s, when they took a firmer direction towards house-style dance hits.
You couldn't ask for a better translation between a title and cover art; the cover art for the single is one red heart with one black X through it.
The video for this one takes place in a courtroom, with Duran Duran "testifying" the song into the witness microphones. As with many Duran Duran hits, the video is an equal half of the experience. More than one raver (we mean clubbers in the '80s/'90s rave dance scene) found themselves dancing to Duran Duran at some point.
