This escapist anthem is about living like a rock star. It is titled after the Mötley Crüe drummer as Tyla Yaweh admires his attitude of not caring what other people think of him and living without fear. "I kinda live by that same rule," he explained to NME. "Being me and not letting anyone judge me."
The hedonistic song features Yaweh's pal Post Malone. They became friends after the Florida rapper opened for the "Sunflower" hitmaker in Orlando, and since then they've toured the world together.
The original version features programmed beats but a remix was also laid down featuring Tommy Lee himself playing drums, guitar and bass at his home studio while in COVID-19 quarantine. "It's killer," Lee told SiriusXM's Debatable about the song. "It's basically [an ode to] living that rock star life that people in hip-hop always seem to talk about."
