Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Hello Walls. By Songfacts®.

This is about a guy who's love has left and all he can do is sit at home and talk to the walls, windows, and ceiling.

Country legend Willie Nelson wrote this song before he hit it big as an artist. Before releasing his first album in 1962, Willie played bass in Ray Price's band and wrote songs that were recorded by others, most famously "Crazy" for Patsy Cline. Nelson included his version on his 1962 debut album, ...And Then I Wrote.

This was the fourth #1 on the Country chart for Faron Young, who was one of the most popular country artists of the time. His version also crossed over to the pop charts, climbing to #12 on the Hot 100 - by far his best showing on that chart.
