Country legend Willie Nelson wrote this song before he hit it big as an artist. Before releasing his first album in 1962, Willie played bass in Ray Price's band and wrote songs that were recorded by others, most famously "Crazy" for Patsy Cline. Nelson included his version on his 1962 debut album, ...And Then I Wrote.
