This was released as the second single from Karmin's debut EP, Hello. The pop-rap duo penned the song with producer John "Jon Jon Traxx" Webb, Jr., who is best known for co-writing Beyonce's BMI-award winning cut, "Deja Vu." It is said to pay homage to Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now," one of the YouTube covers that initially brought Karmin to people's attention.
Amy Heidemann's rapid-fire rhymes on this track combine clever wordplay with a message of confidence - Karmin found a few haters when they first started posting videos on YouTube, and Heidemann has always taken them head-on. The chorus is sung, with Amy's musical (and romantic) partner, Nick Noonan, joining her. The heavy hip-hop sound on this one is something Amy gravitated toward when she took on the persona Qveen Herby in 2017.
Karmin collaborated with MTV and their creative team Scratch to produce the song's music video. The clip was shot at Acumen Stages in Brooklyn, New York City on February 15, 2012.
