Yo (Excuse Me Miss)

This was Chris Brown's second single, and like his first single, "Run It!," it finds him offering to show off his dance moves to a girl. Brown quickly became known for his dancing with stand-out performances in concerts and awards shows.

Brown talked about this song in an interview with MTV. "Fellas, first thing they say when they see a girl is 'Yo! Yo!,'" he explained. "She takes my breath away, all I can say is 'Yo, let me just talk to you for a minute. Chill with me for a minute.'"

For his debut album, Brown used several prominent producers. This track was produced by the team of Dre & Vidal (Andre Harris and Vidal Davis), whose credits include "Lullaby" by Mariah Carey and "Oh" by Ciara.
