"Rock 'N Roll Star" was released March 4, 1977 in the UK on the Polydor label as the A Side of an EP, backed by "Medicine Man"; it was recorded live, and according to Keith Damone of the band's international fan club, it was the only song to earn them an appearance on Top Of The Pops, where as with the vast majority of artists they mimed rather than performed. Written by Les Holroyd (who also supplied the vocals) and published by Rak Publishing, it has been compared with The Eagles track "One Of These Nights", and contains an obvious reference to The Byrds' "So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star."
