Sam Harris sings here about a guy who is so brokenhearted, he feels he has lost his capacity to ever love again. He originally recorded the track in the band's touring van. Then the band went to the studio and added the vocals of a L.A. gospel choir. He recalled in a track-by-track commentary: "We got this gospel choir to sing on the chorus of it and that was the most incredible thing I've ever witnessed in my entire life; you know, seeing a whole choir of people sing these words that I wrote."
