The international superstar replied: "That's actually Pharrell's (Williams, one of Candy Shop's producers) line. I agreed to it. That's my follow-up to Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive.'"
Madonna: "We were listening to a lot of Debbie Harry records. It's kind of Debbie Harry meets Gloria Gaynor 'I Will Survive.' Pharrell came up with the hook so we concocted a story about the ultimate jilted lover."
