Congratulations

The fifth single from Stoney, this celebratory track was debuted by Post Malone while performing in Austin, Texas in September of 2016, two months before the song's official release.

Austin Post first became interested in music as a teenager, teaching himself how to play saxophone and then becoming a member of his high school's heavy metal band. He began learning how to produce music through FL Studio and when he was 16 years old, he started working on his first mixtape. After leaving college, Austin created his stage name Post Malone and continued working hard on his music. The rapper achieved mainstream fame with the release of his hit, "White Iverson," in February of 2015, but didn't rest on his laurels, and has continued to produce hit sings. Malone celebrates his success on this song, crediting it to his hard work.

The track features guest vocals from Quavo, who contributes the second verse. Quavo and his group Migos, first formed in 2009, but didn't really achieve any success until the release of their 2013 single "Versace." They had to wait another three and a half years until they broke through to a mainstream audience with their huge hit "Bad and Boujee." During his rhymes, Migos talks about how he was patient during those lean years and toasts his success now ("Pot so big, call it Super Bowl").
