Billy Ray Cyrus is the host of the TV show Nashville Star. He told MSN TV that the same day he found out he'd be fronting the country music reality show, he also discovered that the film Hannah Montana: The Movie, in which he'd be co-starring with his daughter, Miley, would be filming in his home state of Tennessee. "So real quick it was obvious that I was going home. Out of that sheer enjoyment," he penned this song.
Cyrus previously expressed his feelings about Miley moving away from the family's Tennessee farm to LA to film Hannah Montana in his 2007 duet with his daughter, "Ready, Set, Don't Go."
Cyrus co-wrote this song with Matthew Wilder and Tamara Dunn. Wilder had an international pop hit in 1983 with "Break My Stride."
