Raining Blood

This metal classic is about becoming strong enough to overthrow heaven. The blood that's raining down is the angel's blood.

This song is featured in a South Park episode where Cartman plays it to scare off hippies claiming that there is nothing hippies hate more than "Death Metal." Whenever Kerry King is asked about "Raining Blood" being used in the South Park episode Die, Hippie, Die, he always mentions, "It was good to see the song being put to good use; if we can horrify some hippies we've done our job." We think "If we can horrify some hippies we’ve done our job!" might as well be the official motto of Slayer. Print it on T-shirts!

Along with "Angel of Death," "Raining Blood" is almost always one of the first two songs on Slayer's live show set lists.
