A track from Todd Rundgren's landmark album Something/Anything?, this song can be heard a few different ways. Rundgren cleared up his intent when he told Rob Steen: "It's saying, all of these things would have been trivial if what you felt was love, but a lot of people took it the other way."

Songs like this did very well for Rundgren, but he abandoned them after this album, giving up on ballads in favor of more experimental, electronic music. Rundgren explained that he had little desire to revisit old relationships for lyrical content, and wanted to work on songs that were more challenging musically.
