The phrase "a rolling stone gathers no moss" inspired "Rollin' Stone" by Muddy Waters and "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, but Hendrix used the full proverb in this song: And everybody knows boss A rolling stone gathers no moss Rolling Stone magazine was launched later in 1967.
