Seriously, your favorite genres list reads like a hip hop encyclopedia written by that one guy in the corner of the bar who won’t stop quoting Wu-Tang. Newsflash, buddy: you don’t have to know the entire discography of every artist to justify yourself as a “true fan.” You’re basically that annoying friend who tells you how much better hip hop used to be and can’t believe kids today listen to anything else. Also, what’s the deal with those top artists? Wu-Tang Clan and Ghostface Killah might as well be your muses, given how often you play their tracks. Your Spotify Wrapped should just come with a disclaimer for everyone who not-so-coincidentally shares a friend group with you: “Contains excessive references to 90’s rap and an unhealthy obsession with every variation of ‘Hardcore’ hip hop.” Are you ever going to get over your ’experimental’ phase or are we just going to pretend that blasting Ghostface Killah is your idea of artistic exploration for the next decade as you nostalgically reminisce about the good ol’ days? Look, I'm just saying, if hip hop were a buffet, you'd be the guy who insists on only making a plate of just rice and beans because the meat was ‘too mainstream’ for you. Branch out a bit, Nickb.
