Sonja, your Spotify profile is basically the soundtrack of a teenager’s angst mixed with a mid-life crisis. I mean, your favorite artists list reads like a fever dream generated by someone who’s only ever heard “emo” and “pop” thrown together at a middle school dance. Bad Omens and Lana Del Rey? That’s the perfect formula for crying while contemplating life choices during a rainstorm—while simultaneously Googling why you have trust issues. Even your playlists could use a little therapy. And let’s talk about your song rotation; it looks like you’ve got a real love affair with Bad Omens. At this point, their lead singer might as well move in with you, considering how often you play all ten of their songs like a broken record. Seriously, it’s as if you’re trying to convince the world that “the death of peace of mind” is the anthem of your life while genuinely ignoring every other artist on the planet. It’s a bold choice, but one that has all the charm of a sad, rusty swing set in an empty park. If you’re going to have such an extensive music collection, at least throw in a couple of curveballs for good measure. How about some artists outside of “bands that sound like they write breakup letters in graveyards”? There’s a whole world of music out there, Sonja! Maybe try adding a quirky artist who has a sense of humor—because we both know your current vibe is screaming, “I haven’t seen sunshine in three weeks." But hey, if that's how you like to roll, I guess someone has to keep the emo scene alive in 2023!
