Oh Katie Albatross Fairfield, the only person who could make a "Stoner Metal" playlist sound like a serene yoga retreat for insomniacs. Honestly, your favorite genres read like a list of excuses for why you still live in your parents' basement. If there’s an award for dedicating your life to moody, growling riffs and perpetual angst, you’d win it, hands down. Just when I thought you couldn't get more niche, you had to throw in “UK Stoner Rock” like you’re the proud ambassador of Britain’s most sleep-inducing export. Your top artists read like a who's who of melodic depression. Elephant Tree in particular appears to be your emotional support band, which you clearly need. I mean, how many times do you have to listen to their music to stop feeling like you're floating in the void? You know you can diversify your music taste, right? I can only imagine how many times you've reassured yourself that snacks aren't the only thing getting consumed while you wallow in a haze of self-reflection with "Porcupine Tree." At this rate, your Spotify Wrapped will just be one long, sad saga that even Shakespeare would find too tragic. As much as I enjoy the idea of you jamming to “Wasted” while in a two-week Netflix binge, it’s time for a change! You might as well start calling your relationship status “open” because your love affair with “Elephant Tree” is starting to look like a bad rom-com plot. Talk about commitment issues! Listen, if that many songs from one band end up in your top list, the rest of us are seriously questioning your social life—or lack thereof. It might be time to explore some artists who don’t make you feel like you’re slowly descending into a black hole of isolation, or at least learn how to use a playlist other than “Funeral Doom and Gloom.”
