Hailee Steinfeld got started as an actress, starring in the 2010 Coen Brothers remake of the Western True Grit, when she was just 13. The movie is, well, gritty, but Steinfeld had a great time making it. "I could not think of a better first movie experience," she said.
We found out Steinfeld could sing when she appeared in the 2015 movie Pitch Perfect 2 as Emily Junk, who joins the Barden Bellas, an a capella group. A few months later she released her first single, "Love Myself." In 2017, Steinfeld reprised her role as Emily Junk in Pitch Perfect 3.
Steinfeld is part of some blockbuster movies. She played Charlie Watson in Bumblebee, Hawkeye in The Marvels, and is the voice of Gwen Stacy in the Spider-Man: Spider-Verse franchise. She's been in some smaller movies as well - we recommend The Edge Of Seventeen from 2016.
