Formed from the remains of Jefferson Starship (which was formed from Jefferson Airplane). Jefferson Starship ended when guitarist Paul Kantner and multi-instrumentalist David Freiberg left.
All of the founding members had played with Jefferson Starship. Thomas joined in 1979, Baldwin in 1982, Sears, Chaquico, and Slick in 1974.
After these guys broke up, Kantner reclaimed the name Jefferson Starship and toured with some fresh faces and some former members, but none from Starship.
