This song finds Trey beating himself up over messing up a relationship with a girl who did everything he asked of her. We hear how Songz "fumbled her heart" by not giving up his past. He goes onto admit that he is "bad news" before apologizing to his former lover. "'Fumble' is actually a song that came in late on the album," Songz told Billboard magazine. "It's basically a song about having the one person that'll do whatever for you, the one person that'll go to the end of the world and back, and you not realizing it until it's damn near too late. It's essentially about having someone's heart in your hands and dropping it."

The song's Manuel Concha-directed music video finds Songz sharing personal, behind-the-scenes moment from his extensive 2012 road trek.
