Beautiful Mistakes

Megan Thee Stallion contributes a verse and chorus, during which she addresses her boyfriend. He too has slipped up one too many times, and she warns him that he's "runnin outta chances."

Megan's contribution finds the Texan revealing her vocal talent as well as her rapping skills. Levine and Megan recorded their vocals separately because of COVID. When they finally met in person to film the video, he told her that when she switches from rapping to singing, she reveals a versatility that people haven't heard before. "The way she built her part was just, it couldn't have been a more epic kind of climax for the song," he told Apple Music's Zane Lowe. "I mean, it really is absolutely perfect. So, I mean, what she did was just miraculous, and it brought the song to a whole new level."
